AIP CERTIFIED COACH DIRECTORY
Tanya Lee Naturopathic Doctor
Running two successful practices in Toronto and Milton, Ontario, I focus on functional and integrative medical approaches, utilizing the best from both the naturopathic and conventional medical principles, diagnostics and treatments.
I believe in an integrative approach to medicine and I am open to working with a wide network of health care professionals. My strengths lie in my biomedical, functional approach to laboratory interpretation and diagnosis, having a strong background in Biochemistry and Biomedical sciences prior to pursuing my Naturopathic medical education.
I have a keen interest in the area of immunology and how the immune system influences many other systems in the body, such as the digestive and mental health. This interest has led to my constant pursuit to expand my knowledge in this area at institutions such as the University of Toronto, Institute of Functional Medicine, AIP certification course, and a number integrative medical conferences to help me further understand the intricacies of the immune system. I have experience in treating a wide variety of autoimmune conditions and other immune system conditions such as asthma, eczema and allergies.

My passion-driven purpose is to help autoimmune families get back to normal.
I dove deep into AIP when my daughter was diagnosed with a rare paediatric auto-inflammatory disease called CRMO. The paleo / autoimmune protocol was our first step to reducing symptoms so she could get out of doctor offices and back to school, sports, dancing and singing.
The power of food has been fundamental in her healing journey – as it will be into adulthood. She is why I became an AIP Certified Coach and why I’m focused on autoimmune family health.
I’m a certified nutritional practitioner with over seven years of clinical experience. I teach you how to improve health using evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle practices. I like to meet families where they are, give them a hand and show them the way. I provide tools and education (the why behind the what), a customized approach (no person or disease is the same), simple meal plans (no overwhelm), delicious and simple recipes (LOVE what you eat), and lifestyle support.
Education and empowerment.
How else am I qualified to help? Well, my own story includes sub-clinical hypothyroidism, eczema, an IBD in my family and lifelong allergies. These were the original reasons why I became a holistic nutritionist.
I have worked alongside some of Toronto’s top naturopathic doctors and understand how to collaborate with other healthcare experts. I hold a diploma in Applied Holistic Nutrition from Canada’s leading holistic nutrition college (IHN), and I’ve earned additional certificates in Endocrinology and Nutrition, Fat Loss, Blood Sugar Balancing. I am also a member of the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners. Some group benefits programs even cover my services!

Doris Romano, RN, RHN Registered Nurse, Registered Holistic Nutritionist
146 Redstone Road
Richmond Hill, Ontario L4S 1T9
Doris Romano is a Registered Nurse and Holistic Nutritionist.
After a year into her nursing career at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, she travelled to a remote island in northern Manitoba to work at a nursing station. Within a month of being there, she was determined to cure diabetes. But one look at the “fresh” produce that was flown in every week, and she knew she was going to have her work cut out for her. After two years, she returned home, feeling defeated and jaded by what she witnessed. But she was also feeling changed. Her experience up north opened her eyes to what true health meant and it impacted where she wanted to put her energy – she went back to school to become a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and has been fascinated by the power of nutrition ever since.
Soon after was the start of many years of debilitating symptoms and in 2018, she was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s. She immediately immersed herself into the autoimmune protocol and was amazed at how quickly it helped. It was the first step in her journey to getting back to feeling like herself again and the results were so powerful that she went on to become an AIP Certified Coach in order to provide other women struggling with autoimmune disease the support they need to live their best life. She launched @myAIPkitchen with the goal of making AIP as simple as possible for women so they can focus on healing and living well with autoimmune disease.
In addition to her private consulting and coaching practice, Doris works in the pharmaceutical industry with patients on biologic therapy for long-term inflammatory conditions. You can follow Doris at @myAIPkitchen on Instagram.

Megan Kelly Certified Holistic Nutritionist

Megan is The Realistic Holistic, a nutritional practitioner with a focus on healing through food in realistic holistic ways.
Megan became a holistic practitioner to help people like herself who stuggle with autoimmunity. Many years ago, Megan found herself severely underweight and clinically depressed, presenting with amenorrhea and extreme digestive distress. Megan was told to all she needed to do was eat more, go on anti-depressants and take the birth control pill. After only getting worse, Megan was finally diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Given the prescription of a gluten-free diet, any easy fix, Megan immediately cut out all gluten from her diet. After minimal improvement, Megan was also diagnosed with Hashimoto’s. Frustrated, Megan started reading every book and every article about Celiac, Hashimoto’s and other autoimmune diseases. She had to teach herself how to really heal so that she was no longer simply avoiding the autoimmune reaction but actually reversing previous damage and optimizing her health for vitality and avoidance of other autoimmune disorders.
The AIP diet was a saving grace for Megan. It was the only approach that finally put her digestion back on track, helped her gain the weight back, balance hormones and bring her antibodies down.
Megan has now dedicated her practice to helping people battle their autoimmune disease in a realistic holistic way. Megan walks you through the AIP diet in a way that will work for you and your life to help you find your triggers and optimize your diet for best health.

Danika Sicard, ND Naturopathic Doctor & Masters in Acupuncture
2179 Mer Bleue Rd.
Ottawa, Ontario K4A 3T9
Hi my name is Danika Sicard and I began my career at the University of Ottawa completing an undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics. This was the beginning of my particular interest in nutrition and healthy living. I began to incorporate concepts I had been taught into my daily life and experienced profound improvements in my general health, energy and state of mind. I decided then that my vocation lay in helping others to reach their health goals, prevent disease and to heal themselves. I continued my studies and completed the four-year graduate degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. I augmented my professional credentials with a Master of Science in Acupuncture granted by the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. It wasn’t until my second child came along that I really became interested in autoimmune diseases. My daughter was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis and even after extensive education in naturopathic medicine and acupuncture, I felt I needed to know more and that’s when I fell upon the Autoimmune Protocol and the teachings of Dr. Sarah Ballantyne. It was my mission to learn everything I could about her condition and other autoimmune conditions. So, here I am today able to help people living with autoimmune disease by offering them the direction and tools they need to achieve their optimal state of health.
