Erin Merk, NTP Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Registered Yoga Teacher
I am a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Registered Yoga Teacher, and ordained Zen Buddhist priest through San Francisco Zen Center. By day I direct a Body-Mind Education program at a local independent high school, teaching yoga, health, and wellness to adolescents, including nutrition classes based on “real food.” I added the the AIP Coach certification to my training repertoire because I believe in the healing power of food, and have been utterly dazzled by the transformation I have experienced in my own body through adopting a nutrient-dense traditional foods diet. The Autoimmune Paleo process is a powerful tool to support deep healing through food!
Kristen Matthews Nutritional Therapy Practitioner + Pilates Expert
*Practices Virtually Worldwide
My name is Kristen Matthews. I am a Pilates expert, Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), and wellness advocate, committed to helping you create your own healthy lifestyle. I started my company with the intention of providing people with the tools they need to feel physically, emotionally, and spiritually balanced. My goal is to help you feel more empowered through knowledge and support in order to become the strongest version of you.
My nutrition journey began when I found myself confronting a new and intensified health challenge, brought on partly from extreme stress. I suffered from debilitating fatigue, barely making it up the stairs to my apartment, not having the energy to do the dishes, and even crying at times from exhaustion. It was accompanied by a number of digestive issues, ranging from GERD to bloating to constipation, as well as a chronic sore throat and mysterious body rashes.
Along the way, I was given band-aid fixes and looks that said, “not really sure what to tell you,” rather than definitive answers. To discover the root cause, I was going to have to be my own advocate, do extensive research, and educate myself about the body, disease, and nutrition.
This is exactly what I did. In my case, the explanation was Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune disease related to the thyroid. But this experience opened my eyes to the physical, mental, and nutritional challenges that others face. It has deepened my understanding of what it means to be healthy, led me to become an NTP, and an AIP certified coach, and solidified my belief of the mind/body/spirit connection. It’s a dream to be able to work with people in all the ways I do.
Elaine Damerau Swanson Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, AIP Certified Coach

My name is Elaine Damerau Swanson and I am an autoimmune thyroid patient, I am now thriving, living and loving life in a way I was never able to. I am a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, HTMA Practitioner and an AIP Certified Coach. I am also a mother, wife and grandmother.
I have Hashimotos, Graves’, Hypothyroidism, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Macular Degeneration. My Hashimotos and Macular Degeneration are currently in remission. So that right there may give you a clue on why I help others with thyroid disease and with autoimmune disease!
My earliest symptoms of thyroid issues and poor health began as a child being prescribed anti-depressants by the age of 9 and suffering constant illnesses and utter exhaustion without diagnosis.
At age 18 I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. At age 20 I was finally diagnosed with Hashimotos. It would be almost 20 years before a Doctor put me on thyroid medication due to my TSH never rising above 3 (Proper testing of my actual thyroid hormones, I suspect would have had me on thyroid hormone replacement much sooner!) In my late 30’s my Rheumatoid Arthritis went into remission (returning in my 50’s) and in my late 40’s my Hashimotos went into remission.
It was not until I was in my 40’s that I was able to begin unraveling this health mess I was in. Reclaiming my life was part proper hormone replacement and part nutrition and part digestion work. I was finally at a point I could truly grasp things to learn in my late 40’s and went back to school with a fierce determination that I would help others to NOT spend their lives exhausted, in pain, miserable and in such a state of brain fog that learning or communicating were virtually impossible.
Becoming an AIP Certified Coach seemed like a no brainer! AIP can be lifechanging to those of us with Autoimmune Disease. Having an AIP Coach who has walked in your shoes and can guide you through the sometimes-overwhelming AIP eliminations, can also be a true gift to your journey.

SIMRAN-Functional Nutritionist, Healer, Mother, Wife, One of You.
I am Simran Gosain from Bangalore, India. I help people overcome their gut issues and hormonal imbalances, manage their weight, blood-sugar levels, and overall health by nourishing and nurturing their own body. I train people to listen to their body and tap its innate potential to self-heal, so they can stop fighting symptoms, get to the root cause of the problem and begin a healing process–of the body, by the body and for the body–to restore physical and mental health.
My entry into the field of nutritional science was inspired by my own battle with health problems, trailing way back into my childhood. I underwent anxiety and had lost all zest for life. My behavioral issues were thought to be part of my character, and nobody realized that they were a reflection of internal ill health.
I was anemic by the time I touched 25 years, and the weakness carried on through my pregnancy, my husband having to donate blood to me when I had my son. This led me into postpartum depression. My system began to snap–inflammation, panic attacks, irritability, weight gain, frustration, anger, food cravings, adrenal issues, brain fog, insomnia, hair loss and a self-diagnosis of my autoimmune condition Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, no doctor to really help. So I quit.
I quit looking for external solutions to internal problems. I realized that I am 100% responsible for my own health. I learnt to trust my body. I began to listen, to the only person who has been through all my problems––me. I was a total junky and needed to get off junk food and clean up my system before I could see any positive difference. I started making lifestyle changes. I was guided throughout by Holistic Nutrition Lab Full Body Systems.
My Mission––to empower a person to be an agent of their own change by tuning in, understanding and listening to what their body is telling them.

Kristen Ude, DC, CCN Doctor of Chiropractic, Certified Clinical Nutritionist
1600 W. 38th St, 412
Austin, Texas 78731
USA
I have a lot of compassion for people with autoimmunity as I have spent 25 years working collaboratively with natural healthcare practitioners and allopathic doctors to manage issues which include Psoriatic Arthritis, Crohn’s and Hashimoto’s. Since my first Applied Kinesiology chiropractic visit in 1994 and the recommendation to eat “veggies with protein and fruit in between,” I have been on this path and helped many others along the way who were interested in taking matters into their own hands. If you are struggling with support, implementation, finding the right team, getting the right tests done, optimizing detox pathways and supplementation, please feel free to call me. I am also a certified coach in Conscious Uncoupling and Calling in the One, both NYT best selling relationship books by psychotherapist Katherine Woodward Thomas. I find that healing relationship trauma (and making good decisions going forward) is central to a healthy immune system. In 2018, I will also become certified by Terry Wahls, MD. I work in person or online and strive to make sessions affordable, knowing how hard it can be to work while sick.
