Hello! I have been driving over the road since 2006 and have traveled all of the lower 48 states.
While on the road I have seen the negative effects of choosing a diet of convenience food. I was encouraged by a mentor to study nutrition since I have so much listening time, I took to audiobooks very well and learned a wealth of health information! In order to share what I have learned with fellow drivers and family I enrolled in the NTA’s Nutritional Therapy Practitioner course and enjoyed both the education and the learning experience.

I have since continued studying while driving full time and enjoy sharing what I learn, I spend some time at which is my mentor’s baby. I share the cooking, fermenting, culturing, preserving and foraging that I am able to do on the road, along with tips to making it work on the go.

As I continue to research and experiment, I am encouraged forward by the great success the tribe has shown just by changing the diet from conventional convenience foods more toward Whole Foods with a carnivore base, adding fermented foods to help our gut buddies.
We have seen drivers lower A1C’s, get back to 2 year medical cards, drop 100’s of pounds and with the help of their doctors, get off medications that are no longer necessary!

I don’t know what road I’ll end up on in the future, but I am ever optimistic about the trend toward eating whole real food and seeing the great changes it brings to everyone who embraces it!

Peaceful Greetings! I am Nichelle Alderson, a Holistic Healing Artist, providing psychotherapy, nutrition coaching and education. I am passionate about helping my clients achieve optimal health through bio-individual wellness and lifestyle plans, meeting them where they are at, and taking them where they want to go – by serving as a guide on a safe and supportive healing journey.

I offer a client centered and holistic approach that aims to bring to light the associations between diet, stress, family history, support systems/resources, life experiences, environment, and issues related to current and/or historical oppression, and how YOUR body, mind, and spirit have been responding.

I specialize in working with adult BIPOC (Black & Indigenous people of color) and their families with stress and blood sugar related issues including: autoimmune disorders, weight imbalances, chronic pain, adrenal fatigue, depression, anxiety, and ADD/ADHD.

In my early twenties, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and suffered from depression, ADD, and adrenal fatigue for many years. It took me years to fully understand what my body needed to restore balance. As a young single and Black mother, I just remember feeling overwhelmed with all of the advise, and just wished that I had someone to hold my hand and walk me through it all. I keep in mind while working with my clients.

I am credentialed as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker; Certified Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner; Certified Auto-Immune Paleo Coach; and Certified Professional Life, and Holistic Health & Wellness Coach – trainings that have provided a well rounded and holistic approach to my work.

I am a committed and experienced nutritional therapist who has been in private practice since 2003. I work with a wide range of health concerns but have a particular interest in autoimmune and digestive issues. My focus is on identifying and helping to address the root causes of dysfunction through a functional medicine approach. I firmly believe nutrition advice needs to be achievable and practical but also delicious – food should always be a pleasure.
When not working one-to-one with clients in clinic, I am a dedicated mentor of nutritional therapy students and recent graduates and champion the promotion of safe, evidence-based practice in nutritional therapy

If you’re struggling with figuring out how to eat and live healthy when you’re already so exhausted you feel like you can’t add one more thing to your plate, I can help you. This is exactly what I teach my clients – how to overcome fatigue, brain fog, and joint pain using lifestyle hacks and SIMPLE recipes that even their kids (and husbands) will eat!

Why am I so passionate about helping women with autoimmune conditions?
Because I’m one of you! I know how scary it is to suffer from pain that you can’t explain, how frustrating it is to have tests come back “normal” even though you know something is wrong, and to not know where to turn and or have anyone who truly understands. Even though multiple doctors told me I was “fine,” I knew that something was really wrong inside.

Luckily, my chiropractor recommended the Autoimmune Protocol, and within weeks I had more energy than I had experienced in years, my headaches were gone, my pain had subsided, and I was finally losing weight again! I wanted to shout what I had learned from the rooftops so that women everywhere knew that there was a way to take control of their own health and start to feel like themselves again through diet and lifestyle.

This inspired me to become a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner to support other women suffering with autoimmune symptoms. As a result of working with me personally, my clients have been able to go from struggling just to make it through the day to being able to excel at work and enjoy time with their families. They are sleeping better and are feeling less stress and anxiety, and finally feel like themselves again.

If you don’t want being healthy to feel like such a struggle anymore, I’d love to chat with you and share some of the patterns I see that could be holding you back from optimal health. If you’re ready for more energy and clarity – without all the struggle – email me at [email protected]

We all know getting and staying healthy is challenging! My aim is to come alongside you to provide personal support and guidance to overcome your challenges. After suffering for almost two decades with a debilitating autoimmune gut dysmotility disorder and getting nowhere with an allopathic approach that focused on prescription medications only, I finally started my road to wellness by addressing my nutritional deficiencies, stress and lifestyle choices. I’m a boymom, hockey mom, wife and work full-time, so I understand how overwhelming all of this can seem in a world full of appointments, practices, deadlines and then some. When my oldest son was diagnosed as Celiac, I was able to successfully lean on AIP to help us through that transition period.

My focus is on helping people meld together the multifaceted approach that is required to truly bring your health and wellness back into perspective. With a B.Sc. in Biology and Chemistry and my certification in Functional Nutritional Therapy, I have a deep love and understanding of the human body and what our cells truly need to function in a capacity that reflects life and vitality. I look forward to connecting with you to see how I can help you regain the health that you’ve lost.

Hi I’m Kate Jay, a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Restorative Wellness Practitioner, qualified chef, and author of The Autoimmune Protocol Reintroduction Cookbook. My passion is helping you to love the food that your body craves, at the same time as helping you heal.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 1997 and lived with symptoms, despite medication, for years. Then my brother’s death in 2008 triggered a downward spiral in my health, and by 2014 I was living with crippling anxiety, panic attacks, heart palpitations, joint pain and symmetrical swelling. Despite having a strong family history of Rheumatoid Arthritis and elevated markers for the disease, my doctor adopted a “wait and see” attitude.

I decided to advocate for myself and found the Autoimmune Protocol. There weren’t many resources back then so it took a while to find. But the results were astonishing as over time my symptoms reversed, along with my inflammatory markers. I was able to get off my long term thyroid medication and reclaim my life.

I know first hand how powerful the Autoimmune Protocol is. Additionally, my Restorative Wellness certification allows me to run and interpret lab tests for gut health and hormonal imbalances, which are often highly complimentary to the protocol.

When you work with me we’re a team – you could say I’m in the passenger seat with the road map, and you’re the driver! Rather than putting a band-aid on symptoms, I peel away the layers of them and dig deep to find the root cause. I’ll help you navigate the elimination phase and set you up for successful reintroductions. I’ll be by your side with guidance, support, motivation and accountability. And you’ll learn how to take control, advocate for yourself and enjoy happy, energetic and lasting health and wellness.
